I am upon another very busy week! Imagine that, LOL! We had the house re-painted, the roof re-done & now the kitchen is being remodeled! I promised myself that I would blog each home improvement in stages w/ pics...but, I was so busy last week, I didn't even take the lens cap off of the camera!
So, I think I will just blog the final results...more to come by the end of the week!
I will also have a wonderful "no sew" pillow cover method that I stumbled upon in this month's Family Circle mag! Perfect for those of us who have trouble even threading a needle! I even have an idea of the fabric I want to use! Remember this gorgeous pillow?
Patty of Modkidboutique has just released her lovely Andalucia fabric line for Michael Miller Fabrics!!! Her reds & browns are THE perfect colors for my living room!
I am going to enjoy our beautiful, sparkling Southern Fall weather as I run around like a crazy person this week with the kids! The leaves are already starting to change!
Have a super week!
I also have some Holiday resells this week on eBay! Click here to find them!

We love a good party!
As I mentioned here, it was Jason's 39th Birthday last weekend & boy did we celebrate! C, H & S LOVE Birthdays, Holidays, any reason to have a party & celebrate! So...this year, they asked me if THEY could plan a surprise party for their Daddy on his special day, how could I resist?
Off we went to the party supply store, the bakery & one of Daddy's fav stores to find some fun gifts for him to open! I bought him the Garmin Nuvi GPS for his car as he has wanted/needed one for sooo long! Will be great for him as he tools around the Southeast for his company! His navigation using his cell, well the screen is so tiny, it was getting hard for him to see as he was driving, are we getting old or what, LOL!!?? So this one, has a much bigger screen!
Back to the Birthday bash...the girls set everything up (I have 3 party planners on my hands, I know!), he walked in from work last Friday & was so surprised: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!! It was so much fun & a time to treasure for us as a family as we were the only attendees! We had a bigger party with friends & family last Saturday, but the girls party was so special! S wrapped up her hairbrush to give J for his Birthday...her hairbrush??? Cracked me up & was so endearing!

39 & Holding...FOREVER
Well, today is my sweet, sweet Husband Jason's 39th birthday! In his own words...he is "39 & holding forever!!"
As a family, we LOVE to celebrate...celebrate anything really! We just love a good party, a reason to get together with family & friends, & the girls always love a good cupcake!
As you can imagine, our girls woke up singing to Daddy wildly & wishing him a very happy birthday...he said "he couldn't have gotten a more precious gift than to have the loves of his life celebrating his day with such love & excitement!" The homemade cards drawn by the girls are many & will be saved forever (I am such a sentimental junkie!), we ordered his favorite cake & picked it up after school today & I of course have the latest electronic gadget on his "wish list" wrapped up for him to open after dinner!
All of that aside; One of the things I love most about Jason is that he cherishes the girls & I so much & let's us know it every chance he gets! He tells us every year "if the cake & presents disappeared...he would still be the happiest man on earth!" We are so lucky to have such a wonderful Husband & Daddy! (Ok, that is all of the mushy stuff!)
I am off to cook his favorite dinner & then the celebration begins...and it doesn't end there! Like the INSANE person I am...I offered to host his birthday party here on Saturday...at home...LOT'S of cleaning involved! (What was I thinking?) There are 20 perfectly good restaurants within 10 miles of our house that we could have chosen, oh well! Wish me luck! :0)
I am just hoping the girls will choose their party place...outside of the home! Yikes!
So...Happy Birthday to you my love...I want to celebrate 100 more with you! We love you!

I Heart Target & PINK!
Oh wow, my love for Target goes back years!! I have spent countless afternoons gazing at all of the cute clothes & goodies! I know it sounds silly, but Target is my "go to" store for everything not grocery related! Their products hold up well & the girls love the clothes (and they aren't expensive!!), S loves the girls shoes...it's a win/win for everyone in the Wise family :0)
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month & that is a cause close to my heart...My lovely Grandma passed lost her battle with breast cancer years ago, so my girls & I have to be proactive in our lives with self-exams, mammograms throughout our lives. Well...my favorite store Target is participating in the fight! Every October, they feature the coolest items, in my fave color...PINK!! Each pink product that features the pink ribbon logo, donates proceeds to breast cancer research!! How perfect is that?! You get a cool new product, in pink no less & some of the money you spent buying it goes to fight breast cancer!! Here are a few of my favorites out in Target stores for this years Breast Cancer Awareness month! Come on ladies...a PINK vacuum makes housework so much fun!!

Seven years later...
I can't believe it has already been seven years. Seven years since our beautiful country was attacked...9/11/01.
I don't think there has been a day that has gone by that I have not prayed for the families directly affected by this tragedy & the hero's who parished.
I remember exactly where I was, seven years ago as most of us do...driving in the car, feeling incredibly blessed...as I do everyday. Blessed to have a sweet, giggly one year old in the backseat & my belly full of my second Daughter, due to be born two months later...I was feeling so very blessed. J called me & asked if I had heard that an airplane had crashed into the Twin Towers in NYC? No, I said...I quickly turned the radio to our AM news station & heard the anchor repeating that he thought for sure something had gone terribly wrong with that plane, of course it had to be a mechanical problem, or maybe the pilot was in trouble? Never, in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine something so horrific...ever. I went to my parents house, the closest place I could find with a television & they were already watching...what would turn out to be a week of solid news on both radio & tv. My jaw dropped in total disbelief as the second plane crashed & then again when the buildings fell...my sweet C sleeping in my arms, against my pregnant belly. How could this happen in our homeland, I felt so scared, so much grief & sadness. Over the weeks to follow, I heard story after story about grieving family members, lost Fireman & Police...The entire expierence was something I couldn't begin to wrap my brain around. We stayed close my Hubby & Daughter, watched tv & wondered what would come of this, how it would affect how we go about our daily lives...
I spent my day today remembering, praying for the families affected by 9/11 & our most amazing country...I have never been so proud to be an American. On each 9/11 anniversary, as more time passes...I will never forget the feeling in my heart, in my gut upon the moment I learned about the Twin Towers & the planes that took them down...the plane that crashed in Pennsilvania full of remarkable Hero's willing to give thier lives to save others & the plane directed at the Pentagon, that crashed & left a gapping hole...those stories are plentiful & painful. 3,000 wonderful Americans were lost on that day, seven years ago & I will never, ever forget...
As the years have passed, I have also heard so many stories full of hope, forgivness & love...That helps the memories I have of that day, to know families have been able to go on remembering, but loving & forgiving again. That is amazing to me...
God Bless everyone affected by 9/11...We will never forget...

What a week!
Well, yet another BUSY week has passed us by here at the Wise household! H lost another tooth (pay up tooth fairy!), ears have been pierced, I have cooked (at least once, LOL!) & blogged, school project for C is finally completed & so on & on & on!
So nice to have the weekend to "catch my breath" before we start all over again!
I have GOBS of eBay custom boutique to list...but feel like I am in a rut & am not at all motivated to get our customs listed & outta here!
So, I feel like I need to lazily spam my resells here :0)
I promise to have a much more interesting blog entry in a few days...once I get my Mommy mojo back, LOL!
Wanted to post a pic of S in one of our last Summer customs...even though it will be 90 here until Thanksgiving, I feel compelled to buy sweaters, jeans & cute tights in hopes of a quick Fall arrival this year! Jen of LRW made this sweet fishy set!
Oh, also: Look at this YUMMY pillow made by Patty of Modkidboutique! She used the most gorgeous swatches of her new Andalucia fabric that she herself designed! Don't you love the these colors against the cord?!Want to read more about Patty, check out her fab blog...Modkidboutique! Love the pillow Patty, so full of deep tone, delicious Fall color (love this red colorway)!! I will turn to other designers to create something fun with Patty's fabric as I still don't sew!

A YUMMY Recipe!
I generally don't LOVE cooking (always feel I'm in a "cooking rut"), but I was recently inspired after reading on of my fav blogs, Modkidboutique! The fabulous author, Patty has also created the most wonderful cooking blog: CookIt BlogIt!
If you love cooking new dishes & sharing them, then this is the place for you...check it out here!
I couldn't wait to post a recipe to share! I made this yummy dish last night...it was a huge hit here at the Wise household! Cheezy (not dorky, but made with lot's of cheese!) enough for the kids & made with gorgeous fresh tomatoes, so delicious! I love late Summer tomatoes & in my opinion, Georgia has some of the very best! :)
Baked Ziti with Fresh Tomatoes
Ingredient List:
*1 Pound Fresh Ground Beef
*1 Cup Chopped Fresh Onions
*3 Pounds Fresh Plum Tomatoes, Peeled, Seeded & Chopped (About 15 Tomatoes)

*1/4 Teaspoon
*8 Ounces Uncooked Ziti Pasta

Step 2. In a Dutch oven, cook the beef & onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.
Step 3. Stir in the tomatoes, salt, basil & pepper. Reduce heat to low; cover & cook for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 4. Cook the ziti according to package directions; drain.

A fun new gadget!
I was so delighted to open a box that arrived in the mail two days ago! I found this product, Cup-a-Cakes, through this fab website & HAD to have one, well three to be exact! One for each Daughter's lunch box!
These are fabulous! Keeps me saying..."what will they think of next"! These little gadgets hold a typical sized cupcake perfectly still inside of a fun colored (we have pink!) plastic shell! They also feature plastic prongs inside of the shell to hold the cupcake in place, so it won't wobble around & the delicious icing won't end up on the inside of your Cup-a-Cake device, it will stay where it belongs...on top of the cupcake itself, LOL!
Perfect for on the go, lunch boxes, snacks, etc...Or, take one along with you in your purse if you are attending a Birthday party & want to take an extra cupcake home with you!!
I HAD to buy cupcakes today (no, they are not homemade!!), just to try them out, lucky C & H will get a cupcake inside of their lunches tomorrow, how fun for a random Tuesday at school!
So...head on over to this website or this one...Grab one (or 10!) for yourself! These are so much fun!
These are not made of flimsy plastic...I was so impressed with this little kitchen gadget!
